Hand forged replica of Ragnars Axe from the TV series Vikings –
The axe head is hand forged from 1060 high carbon steel, after rough forging, the axe was ground to its final shape, annealed once and quenched in oil, then it was tempered twice at 200 degrees celsius, to achieve the finest grain structure which makes the blade tough and durable. It is fully heat treated, battle ready and sharp!
The axe head itself has a rustic forged finish and a satin polish on the blade, which makes it very realistic according to the Viking era.
The handle was hand carved from mountain ash wood, stained and tightly wrapped in genuine leather strips, which are secured by a pin at the end.
Overall length is 57cm – 22” , blade length of 12 cm – 4.7”
